Podium Papers: Information and Submission

Annual Meeting March 6-8, 2008
Scottsdale, AZ

The American Auditory Society (AAS) is a multidisciplinary organization composed of individuals whose professional work is dedicated to the ear, hearing, and balance. The mission of the Society is to foster the dissemination of knowledge and exchange of information among these professionals. The Society’s specific goals are to increase knowledge and understanding of:

  • The ear, hearing, and balance;
  • Disorders of the ear, hearing, and balance, and preventions of these disorders; and,
  • Habilitation and rehabilitation of individuals with hearing and balance dysfunction.

Proposals for presentation at the meeting are welcomed from individuals who wish to share pertinent information on the areas listed above. All proposals will be carefully reviewed by the Program Committee for possible inclusion in the annual meeting. Any interested party can submit papers.

The meeting will be held March 6-8, 2008
and will feature the following distinguished events:

Definition of Submitted Platform Podium Session Papers
Basic and Clinical Science Platform Session Papers

These report results of original basic and clinical research. Research is defined as experimental or clinical work in which data were collected in accordance with scientific standards, and in amounts consistent with accepted scientific practice. Unique case studies, of only the highest caliber, will be considered. If the research involved use of a commercial product, features of the product may be described only to the extent necessary for informing the audience regarding the methodology of the scientific work. This presentation should not be used for purposes of describing features of a commercial product, nor for describing marketing or distribution strategies.
