Distribution and Rate Information:

American Auditory Society

Founded, 1973. A Multidisciplinary Association composed of individuals whose professional employment is dedicated to the ear, hearing, and/or balance. The mission of the Society is to foster the dissemination of knowledge and exchange of information among these professionals.

  • Publication frequency for the Bulletin: 2-3 times/year (Spring, Summer, or Fall — varies slightly to accomadate announcements).
  • Shipment from Dallas Texas, third class.
  • Distribution: To paid membership of the American Auditory Society.
  • Membership consists of audiologists, otolaryngologists, hearing aid dispensers, hearing scientists.
  • Approximately 80% of the members are audiologists.
  • Membership = approximately 1600
  • An additional 500 issues are distributed to potential members at meetings or by mail.
  • Print size approximately 2000 issues.

Rates effective from Jan. 1, 2008 to Dec. 31, 2009

Spot color will be the same throughout the issue and will be orange in the fall, blue in the winter, and green in the spring. Requested spot color charges are as follows: $65.00 for each color added, up to three colors.

Four color must supply film negative separations and color keys or disk/CD-Rom preparations in standard graphics fomat (please, check with AAS first)

Ad sizes of comparable size but of different dimensions are acceptable at the above rates.

Production

Printing Method: Web Offset - line screen = 85 to 100

If a positive and we need to reshoot, 80 line screen

If film, we can go up to a 100 line screen

40 lb legal opaque stock

Camera Ready (original artwork is best)

Bleeds accepted - no additional charge

Bleed Specifications:
Full 1/4 inch past trim (8 5/8" x 11 1/4")

Any live type must be 1/4" within the trim (7 3/4" x 10 1/8")

100 line screen, right reading, emulsion down (If on enamel paper, which is the cover, up to 133 line screens)

Looks better if half tones are not solid black (keep about 85%)
